Even though their name and logo might sound silly, HostPapa is a leading web hosting provider. A host service provider that utilized renewable energy in a data centre was one of the first.

Web hosting provider Web Hosting HQ is based in Canada, and its primary focus is on small businesses. Due to its low costs, everyone who wants to start a website can use its shared hosting.

But is it the best choice for you?

Reliability:

It has an uptime of about 99.97%, which is quite standard. In my opinion, this is a very impressive number. Regardless of the provider you choose, there will always be some kind of problem or maintenance that affects your business. You would still like to work with a company that has near-perfect uptime. There are fewer than 3 hours per year of downtime with an uptime of 99.97%.

When it comes to running an online store or blog, this number offers a high level of security and reliability.

Pricing/ Plans:

Whatever hosting package you choose at HostPapa, you have three different price options.

You can choose from:

  • Starter Plan
  • The Business Plan
  • Business Pro Plan

Hosting packages from HostPapa are priced from $3.95 per month and have a three-year commitment of up to $20 per month for PRO plans with no discounts.

As an alternative, you can pay $3.95 per month to host your site on dedicated servers, which provide better performance and WordPress-specific support, or you can commit to the two-year pro plan for $22 per month.

Hosting company HostPapa offers you five tiers of pricing for VPS hosting. There are several levels of pricing, ranging from $50 to $300 per month.

Overall, HostPapa provides good values and packages at a reasonable price. In particular, there are lower ends. Drawbacks include the 3-year commitment. These packages are available for you to enjoy. Hosting companies often do this, though it isn’t uncommon.

Features:

Standard features you’ll find anywhere are mixed with some surprises in HostPapa’s plan. At a lower price level, you will be able to host two sites simultaneously. Since most basic plans only allow one website, this is quite unusual.

The package also includes essential features, online marketing coaching, complimentary site transfers, free CDN, website building software, money-back guarantees and 24/7 support. In exchange for a full year of hosting, you receive a free domain.

Furthermore, your website gets 100 gigabytes of storage. It is more than you will ever need. Unlike other web hosting services, HostPapa offers unlimited bandwidth, but you may be punished for excessive usage. In other words, HostPapa guarantees that you will have all the hardware resources you need for a typical website, regardless of the traffic level.

Furthermore, the company provides English, French, German, and Spanish support from 18 locations.

Support and assistance:

Hosting provider HostPapa offers clients access to its knowledge base as the first type of support. You’ll find all kinds of topics organized into our support articles, which is a good place to start if you need advice on how to use a new product or an Add-On.

Customers may also post questions in the community forum hosted by HostPapa. Unfortunately, at the moment, there isn’t much content on the forum page, which is a great disappointment.

HostPapa offers 24/7 phone support and live chat support when you need advanced assistance. Their phone support creates one-on-one sessions for you to talk with an expert about any issue you are experiencing.

HostPapa’s network status page should provide you with information regarding your server. This page also contains information regarding upcoming scheduled maintenance. There is also an overview of any potential service issues that may arise.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Support that is second to none
  • 99.97% standard uptime
  • Price-to-quality ratio is excellent
  • Easily migrate your website
  • You are guaranteed a refund

Cons:

  • A design that is old and outdated
  • They do not pre-install any of their speed optimizations

Conclusions and Recommendations: To whom do we recommend this provider?

Those new to WordPress and small business owners will find HostPapa an ideal option. The one-on-one training sessions that their company offers are impressive. They are able to help you connect your domain to your website as well as anything else you might need.
